French Polish : French Polishing is one of the most common wood finishing technique that consists of applying many thin coats of shellac dissolved in denatured alcohol using a rubbing pad lubricated with one of a variety of oils. French polish is one of the most economical finishes available.
Melamine : Melamine is also one of the most widely used wood finishes in India. Melamine polish consists of thin resin that forms a thin film like coating when applied on wood surface. Melamine is more durable than french polish while also offering superior resistance to scratches and stains. This finish is ideally suitable for customers on a budget. It is possible to mix different stains to generate various types of finishes.
Duco : Duco finish involves hiding the natural grain of wood and covering it in a layer of opaque paint. Duco, when done well has the ability to give a luxurious and expensive look to any ordinary furniture. It is mainly applied on the furniture by spraying it. Duco is available in opaque colours and acan be applied on wood and metal surfaces with the appropriate surface preparation
Polyurethane (PU) : This is a polymer based finish that’s very versatile at the same time much more expensive than French Polish and Melamine. PU is available in both clear and pigmented finishes and its possible to achieve aesthetically very pleasing results using this product. . PU is also excellent at projection against damage from water, household chemicals, and everyday wear. And the beautiful finish will make your wood come alive!
